Bridge Information
The Albany Avenue Bridge was built in 1991 to connect Atlantic City with the mainland. The bridge is a steel bascule type drawbridge, which operates regularly. The bridge was renamed the Peter Francis Egnor Memorial Bridge on October 14th, 2006 to honor Patrolman Peter Egnor who was shot and killed during a high-speed chase and shootout.
Unfortunately, there is very little information available about the history or construction of this bridge.
