Bridge Information

The Forest Home Drive East Bridge (not to be confused with the West Bridge) was originally built in 1909 as a double-intersection Warren through truss.

However, this bridge underwent a major rehabilitation in 2014 (the NBIS considers it a full replacement). During this project, the truss was lifted off the existing floorbeams and was stored at a location adjacent to the bridge. A new superstructure, including steel girders, was constructed to carry the load. The truss was repaired and was lifted back onto the superstructure. The trusses are now decorative, and do not serve any structural purpose. In addition, a sidewalk was added to the bridge.
